Meet the OCOLO Team: Karmann Chan!

Meet Karmann Chan, OCOLO‘s Account Executive & Business Development Manager! She works tirelessly to spread the word among services providers and enterprises about how the OCOLO online platform can simplify and expedite the search-to-order process for colocation services by providing both the transparent and comprehensive data center solutions to make an informed decision and a seamless, end-to-end transaction, all in one place!

Q.What did you do before you came to OCOLO?

A. I’ve built my career in the network services, telecommunications and data center industries in Hong Kong.

Most recently, I was a Sales Manager for TraxComm Ltd., a sister company of Hong Kong’s metro train system – like NYC’s MTA – focused on telecommunications infrastructure.

Before that, I spent time driving sales and building client relationships at Towngas Telecom (TGT), a major Hong Kong utility with operations across gas, cable operations, data centers and ISPs.

Early on, I held business development roles at HKCOLO, one of Hong Kong’s largest data center providers, and the network provider, IPTP Networks.

Q.What do you do for OCOLO?

A. As OCOLO’S Account Executive and Business Development Manager, I find service providers to list space on the OCOLO platform and potential users to search for and procure that space.

My days are packed with sales outreach, giving demos of the OCOLO portal and researching our target audience.

I’m a connector who brings enterprise clients together with the best data center solutions for their specific needs.

Q. What do you do when you’re not at OCOLO?

A. As a recent New York City transplant, my favorite thing to do in my free time is explore everything this dynamic culture has to offer – like discovering new restaurants and feeding my love of art and design through New York’s many museums and galleries.

At home, I like watching my favorite TV shows, cooking, and, of course, staying connected with friends and family here and back in Hong Kong.

Q. Why did you come to OCOLO?

A. I joined OCOLO because I was excited about the opportunity to be part of something that has never been done before in the data center industry:
transforming the way colocation transactions are made.

The chance to contribute to a company that simplifies, facilitates and automates the decision-making process for IT professionals was a major draw for me.


Q. What are you most excited to tell people about OCOLO?

A. I’m most excited to share how OCOLO is changing the game on accessing data center services. We are the only platform that not only provides detailed, up-to-date information all in one place, but also simplifies the decision-making and ordering processes.
